On Sunday I opened the New York Times to see a review of Patrick deWitt's book "Ablutions". A fine fine book that was the first book I could smell. I had to put it down periodically not because it was bad, but because it was too good. I would start to choke sometimes. Sensory thing. Anyway, they ran my photo of Patrick. Thanks Patrick as I ride your coattails right into the New York Times.
